Goodbye, My Beloved Dream Phone
April 16, 2009: About quarter an hour to go before 9:00a.m. when I discovered that my dream phone, that Nokia 1112i that blogging bought me last February was snatched off my backpack pocket about an hour earlier upon my discovery.
I bought that mobile phone last February after I received some cash from Boss G. Maybe you’re wondering why a low-class phone is a dream phone to me. Why?! It’s just because I love using that phone especially its soft keypad. Aside from that, this phone is light and not so bulky. One more advantage of having this phone is that I can use it as a reserved phone if in case I will be going home late where hold upping is at its peak. Burglars will not be interested about me since I only use a cellphone which is just nearly a thousand pesos in price.
And so.. . After using this phone for texting, concealing my Sony Ericsson Z610i, and my most favorite, PLAYING SNAKES, my phone is gone as well as the sim card which I started to use since I was in my first year in high school. I was walking along the banquet of Novaliches heading to the FX terminal when I felt something on my back. I thought that it was just an accidental bump since the banquet was really crowded that time. Then suddenly, I saw a man walking beside me who planned to cross the street but he didn’t continue to do so. The scene was strange but I was unable to sense something like my phone was picked out from the pocket of my bag. It was when I reached Blumentritt that I discovered my phone was stolen when I opened the pocket to get some coins for the jeepney fare. Upon my discovery, the first thing that came to my mind was the man which I described earlier. Next is the sim card, which is very important to me. Many friends and relatives of mine reach me through that number but now, only few can using my number on the other network.
I texted my number and told that burglar that I need my sim card. But after sending the message, I realized that snatchers would turn off the phone immediately. I tried to call my number but the operator told me it’s unattended. GOODBYE!
I lost my phone: a gadget, though just a simple one. Just like how Kuya Jehzlau felt upon the incident he encountered with his lost baggage in Cebu Pacific, I also felt sad about what happened to me. As of the moment, my parents know nothing about my lost phone, I don’t know when will I going to inform them.
